Initially an orchard, Hedge Barton Park has many lovely landscaped lawns and gardens, all set in luscious Kent scenery. This beautiful countryside park is wonderfully peaceful, while not being too far from the amenities of nearby Fordcombe village and larger Royal Tunbridge Wells. Surrounded by mature trees and countryside, it is one of the prettiest parks in the region.

Surrounding area

The adjacent village of Fordcombe has a church, school and public house, while all other amenities are amply provided by the charming town of Royal Tunbridge Wells, approximately 4 miles from the park. It has a wide range of shops, restaurants, pubs, as well as plenty of parks and green open spaces.

Nearby attractions

There are plenty of places of interest within a few miles of the park, including Hever Castle and Penshurst Palace; both of which have magnificent gardens open to the public. There are also plenty of other amenities in the area, including golf, fishing, lawn bowls and beautiful walks in the Kent countryside.

Transport

A bus service run by the Sevenoaks council takes residents into Tunbridge Wells on Thursdays and Fridays and there is a regular bus service from Fordcome on a daily basis. Tunbridge Wells has a mainline railway station with direct links to London and further afield. Gatwick Airport is less than 20 miles from the park.

Driving Directions

Take Junction 5 off the M25, onto the A21 South. After approximately 10 miles turn onto the A26 (signposted Tunbridge Wells). Continue for approximately 3.5 miles before turning onto the A264 West. After another 3 miles, turn right onto Fordcombe Road and take the second left (Chafford Lane). The park will be on your right hand side after approximately half a mile.
