Waterbeach Park is a long established park conveniently located on the edge of the village of Waterbeach, just 5 miles north of the historical University City of Cambridge. The park is close to the River Cam, partially surrounded by open countryside and farmland. The park has an excellent community atmosphere and is within walking distance of most everyday amenities.
The village of Waterbeach has all the necessary amenities including a Post Office, grocery store, Parish Church and several public houses and restaurants. It also is home to the local drama, football and anglers clubs as well as the Waterbeach Brass Band. Nearby Cambridge has, in addition to its famous University, a vast array of shops, restaurants and several festivals, including the Cambridge Beer Festival in May!
A short walk from the park is the beautiful River Cam and the famous Fens, which offer a wide choice of recreational and competitive sporting and leisure activities. Whether you enjoy walking, cycling, angling or bird watching, the unique environment of the Fens promises an exceptional experience. Alternatively, keen sailors will be catered for by the local Waterbeach Sailing Club that was established in 1899.
The local train station in Waterbeach has regular trains to Cambridge and onward to London or Stansted Airport. The main local bus route stops outside the park gates and runs every half hour to Cambridge or Ely. Stansted Airport, with links to most European destinations is less than 40 miles from Waterbeach Park.
From the M11, take junction 14 onto the A14 East. At the second major junction, take the A10 North towards Waterbeach. Take the 6th right into Denny End Road and Waterbeach Park will be on your left hand side after approximately 200m.
